Why You Need a Real Estate CRM

I’m astounded at the number of agents out there that still do not have a CRM!

CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management and it means exactly what it says. It’s a vehicle for you to maximize and leverage your business relationships, to stay in touch with your existing clients and prospects, and create new relationships.

More than 50% of agents do not use a CRM. If you’re one of the 50%, I’m going to tell you straight out – GET ONE! By the way, having Outlook, Excel, a spreadsheet, or a Word document are not CRM programs.
There is no way you can run an effective business without a CRM.  The 3 main reasons for having one are to:

Nurture Relationships

Sending out materials or a message to our past clients would certainly be different than what you would send out to an open house lead. What you want to do is make sure that you can send out the right message to the right people at the right time. Without a CRM tool, tracking those relationships and managing people in the context of the relationships you have with them would become very challenging. A CRM will simplify the process of tracking the relationships you have with each individual client.

Automate Your Marketing

The right CRM platform will also help you automate your marketing and follow up processes. What will keep you top of mind with your contacts is to have a proper database platform with the right marketing programs set up in it, that will allow you to get your messages out in a automated, consistent fashion. Having an automated system gives you peace of mind.

Systematized Follow Up

Your ability to make money is tied up in your ability to follow up, whether that's people you know already, people that are past clients or people that you're meeting on a regular, consistent basis. If you're generating leads online or in any sort of volume capacity and you don't have a database platform, you're losing out on opportunities to serve people that are getting lost in the shuffle because you're not keeping in touch with them. A CRM will increase your ability to keep in touch with your contacts on a consistent basis which at the end of the day will net you more money. And who doesn’t want that?

There are a lot of CRM platforms out there to choose from so, whether you're getting one for the first time or deciding to change from the one you're using, can be overwhelming and daunting. So, we've created a basic checklist that you can follow to help you make a wise decision in choosing the right CRM platform for yourself and your team.
